How to install Claude Code plugins

In Claude Code, add a marketplace with /plugin marketplace add owner/repo, then install a plugin with /plugin install plugin-name@marketplace-name. Type /plugin on its own to browse, enable or remove plugins.

What a plugin is

A plugin bundles skills, slash commands, agents, hooks and MCP servers into one install. Plugins are listed in marketplaces, which are GitHub repos with a .claude-plugin/marketplace.json file.

Install one

/plugin marketplace add anthropics/claude-plugins-official
/plugin install plugin-name@claude-plugins-official

Every plugin page on this site shows both lines for that plugin.

Manage them

Type /plugin to see installed plugins and to turn them on or off. Restart Claude Code if new commands do not appear.
